Reuse logo 379 x 269

On Saturday 15th October from 10.30am to 1pm the Men's Sheds in Letterkenny located behind St. Conal's Hospital, will open it's doors to the public to showcase the work they do and to deliver some up-cycling demonstrations using pallets and other materials.

The month of October has been designated as National Reuse month and Donegal County Council  and the Letterkenny Men’s Shed will be coming together to demonstrate how you can reuse your waste.

Suzanne Bogan, Waste Awareness Officer says “donating, refurbishing and repairing items are all forms of reuse and offer people a chance to save or make money, get creative, learn a new skill and be environmentally conscious. This is the first year of National Reuse Month and in the future Donegal County Council hopes to link with other Men's Sheds in the Northwest to host similar open days next year”.

This day will also be an opportunity to promote the Sheds activities with other agencies, to attract new members, to promote themselves within the business community, voluntary community and with the general public.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and see what we can Repair - Remake - Re-imagine with waste materials  on Saturday 15th October from 10.30am - 1pm. There will be a number of guest speakers including Cllr Terence Slowey, Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council , John Roe from Letterkenny Men's Shed, a speaker from Letterkenny Tidy Towns, Letterkenny CDP and the National Learning Network.
